London

Summer Exhibition

August 09 - September 10, 2021

Marlborough Graphics London is pleased to present a group Summer Exhibition featuring remarkable prints by Louise Bourgeois, Hughie O'Donoghue, Bridget Riley and Quentin Blake.

This eclectic exhibition celebrates the individual printmaking practice and style of each artists while simultaneously highlighting their investigation, through different medium, of shapes and forms.

Quentin Blake's playful and vibrant Big Healthy Girls (2012) series highly contrasts with Hughie O'Donoghue's enigmatic Night Swimming (2012), both works exploring bodily forms in a surprising and intricate way.

The juxtaposition of Louise Bourgeois' etching Le Lit, Le Gros Edredon, Bleu (1998) and Bridget Riley's screenprint Frieze (2000) interrogates the two artists' emblematic use of the line. Riley's bold and sharp edges complements Bourgeois' soft yet precise outlines.

This rich selection is currently on show as part of Marlborough London's Summer Exhibition. No booking is required to visit the exhibition.
